Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee
The Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee (SPARC) is a non-profit parent volunteer organization that provides advocacy, education initiatives and financial support for performing arts programs in all Summit public schools. Since its inception in 1996, SPARC's goal is to expose students to the performing arts to foster a lifelong interest in theatre, music and art. Visit www.sparcsummit.org.
The Connection for Women & Families
Do you have a 7th Grader? The 7th Grade Initiative is a program that provides a free Summit YMCA membership to all Summit 7th Graders, free personal training sessions on the cardio and strength equipment, and a few 7th Grade social events at the Y during the year. Once 7th Graders complete their free training sessions they can workout at the Summit Y without parental supervision for the entire school year. It’s a wonderful, inclusive community program. Click here for the brochure and here for the membership application.
Education and Cultural Partners
Speak Up Summit is a community organization that helps you stay on top of what is happening in the school district, and more importantly, how it will impact your children and their ability to receive an excellent education. We talk about budget issues, enrollment and class size issues, changes in Board of Education policies, new and proposed education laws and anything else that is of interest to our members. Our members are well informed, and share what they know to keep everyone else up to date. Parents of students and the community at large are encouraged to attend!!
